Our wine shop is open from noon to 4 pm Monday through Saturday until the end of March. For tasting notes on our current releases, please visit the Our Wines page. In British Columbia, our wines may be purchased at various outlets and VQA stores throughout the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, and the Okanagan Valley. Several Little Straw wines are now available in Alberta. We are working with a wine agency called WineQuest to market several whites and Pinot Rosé in our neighbouring province. A list of Alberta restaurants and liquor stores that carry our wines is posted on the Other Outlets page and is updated as information becomes available. |

For a few months this past fall, Little Straw collected donations for the Dry Grad committees of two local high schools. The donations, collected from wine shop customers in lieu of tasting fees, totalled $2,500 and were distributed to Mt. Boucherie and Kelowna Senior Seconday. — posted December 19th, 2011

The Gold Medal Plates event held in Edmonton, Alberta on November 3rd carries a special significance for Little Straw Vineyards. Chef Deependra Singh from Guru Restaurant achieved a silver medal finish in this important competition, which is a gala fundraiser for the Canadian Olympic and Para-Olympic teams. At the event, Chef Singh paired his winning creation with Little Straw's Pinot Rosé. Click here to read head judge James Chatto's review of the Edmonton event. Bravo Deependra!

The Grill is closed for the season. It will re-open in Spring of 2012. |
In 2011 we again chose to bottle the majority of our new releases in Eco Glass from Saint-Gobain. Because these bottles are 30% lighter than standard wine bottles, fuel consumption during transportation and resource useage are both lowered. |
If you have visited our wine shop in the past, you know that we do not charge a tasting fee for walk-in visitors. Last year, we decided to allow our guests to make a donation to the Westside Community Food Bank in lieu of paying a tasting fee. People continue to demonstrate their generosity. Since our wine shop opened on April 1st for the 2011 season, we have collected and delivered $5,416.50 to our local food bank. Thank you all on behalf of the food bank! — updated December 24th, 2011 |
